Food News:
I've been eating this certain kind of oatmeal over and over and over again because it's soooo good. It's not a secret that I love love love oatmeal, but this is just... amazing. This oatmeal is a great gateway breakfast. Vegan, Soy Free, Optional Gluten Free
- 1/3 cup oats (use certified gluten free if allergic)
- 1-2 Tbsp ground flax
- 1 cup almond milk (you might have to add more while cooking)
- 1/2 banana
- 1 Tbsp unsweetened chocolate powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1-3 tsp stevia (to taste)
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 Tbsp natural peanut butter
Directions: Combine oats, flax, and almond milk in a pot over medium heat. Add banana by slicing it into the oatmeal. Mix well and cook until it starts to bubble (this should take about 3-5 minutes). Lower heat (add more liquid if needed) and add chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, stevia, and salt. Cook until it becomes thick and pour into a bowl. Add peanut butter and swirl. Enjoy! Serves: 1

This is a nice and small breakfast, but it's very filling and very tasty. Oatmeal's just great, isn't it? You could have this with a protein smoothie or some apple slices and a veggie sausage. Yum. Happy Breakfast!
What's your favorite breakfast combination?
I hope you've all had a very Happy New Year! Hello 2013!
Sounds reminiscent of my favorite chocolate peanut butter and banana breakfast sandwich. Thanks for encouraging me to eat breakfast every morning last year, and happy 2013!
