Back To Basics: Nut Butter

Hi guys! Today I downloaded an app on my iPhone that lets me blog from it, so we'll see how it goes...

Yesterday I went on a two mile run (before we went to the grocery store) it was a slow crawl up many hills- with a few highlights:

A bunny!!!

At first I thought it was a squirrel wearing bunny ears. You don't have to say it...

And a toilet?!? Reminds me of The Help!

Yes I took a walking break to take a pcture of a toilet.

Remember yesterday, when I posted about overnight oats? Well here they are this morning (in better light):

With chopped banana and more peanut butter!

My green tea was inside being warmed as I took pictures of my oats. I love the combination of hot tea and cold oats!

Now to the nut butter.

There are two ingredients: nuts and patience.

All you have to do is take almonds and throw them in your food processor and whir them around in there until they become a nut butter (5-15 minutes depending on the nut).

I used Pumpkin Spice Roasted Almonds from Planters.

Three minutes:

Five minutes:
I filled a small jar with half of the almond butter, then put a splash of almond milk in there and processed it some more to make an almond butter sauce. Into another small jar!

Immediately Taste Tested!

And approved! :)

Exercise Challenge- May 15th, 2012
17 [Reptile} Burpees:  It's an EASIER burpee!  Start in a squat, then jump your feet into plank.  Take your right knee and crunch it to the side so that it's close to your right elbow.  Do the same with the left side.  Jump your feet back into a squating position and jump up with your arms (and claws) extended.  Repeat 16 times.

^Those are my favorite burpees :)

Do you guys remember when I asked for blister fixers for my feet?  Well, I don't know if I fixed the blisters, but I wrapped them up in moleskin and now they don't hurt.

Here's a picture of my size 9, beautiful feet (when people tell me "oh what big FEET you have", I say "better to run faster than you with" ;).

I know I need to clip my toenails, but I'm too busy spoon-feeding myself Pumpkin Spice Almond Butter straight from the jar.

At 5:57 the day after I made it, that stuff is already gone!  What happened?  Meh.

I hope you guys have a good evening!  I think I'm going to go for a run (trot).  Make some almond butter for dinner!

P.G.E.  [Grammer Teacher] Mom:  I know not to end a sentence with the word 'with'.
